This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in Route Elevation Checker (the "Service").
Analytics
The Service may use Google Analytics to understand and improve how it is used. It collects access information using cookies, but this does not include personally identifying information. The handling of the collected information follows Google's policies.
Advertising
The Service uses Google AdSense to serve ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to the Service or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
Location information
The "Move to current location" feature uses your browser's location only to decide where to center the map. We do not send or store your location on our servers. You can deny location access in your browser settings.
GPX files
A GPX file you load is parsed and displayed only within your browser. We do not send or store the contents of the file on our servers.
Map and elevation data, and Google
The Service uses Google Maps Platform to display maps and to obtain routes and elevation. When you use these features, Google may obtain information about your environment and access. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. The elevation data obtained is not cached or stored.
Cookies
The Service may use cookies for analytics and ad serving. You can refuse them by disabling cookies in your browser settings.
